Audi Q4 e-tron EV arrives in UK dealers

Audi Q4 e-tron arriving now in UK retailers – with stylish Q4 e-tron Sportback coming this autumn

Audi has confirmed full UK specifications for the new Q4 e-tron EV, as the first customers begin to take delivery of the new compact SUV from UK retailers.

Offered in Sport, S line, Edition 1 and Vorsprung specifications, the Q4 e-tron also comes with two battery sizes, either 52kWh or 77kWh.

The Q4 35 e-tron boasts 170hp, and the Q4 40 e-tron has 204hp: both are single-motor, rear-wheel drive SUVs.

The Q4 50 e-tron has 299hp and quattro all-wheel drive, thanks to an additional electric motor on the front axle.

The longest-range Q4 e-tron is the 40 Sport variant, which has a WLTP driving range of 316 miles.

Prices start from £40,750 for the Q4 35 e-tron Sport, with long-range Q4 40 e-tron Sport prices from £44,990.

New car buyers can spend up to £65,070, for the range-topping Q4 50 e-tron quattro Vorsprung.

This model is expected to have a WLTP driving range of just under 300 miles – and will do 0-62mph in 6.2 seconds.

As standard, all Q4 e-tron feature LED headlights, and the choice of eight paint colours includes a new metallic shade called aurora violet: previously, this was reserved only for Audi Sport models.

Smallest wheel size is 19-inches and they grow to 21-inches for Vorsprung models.

Inside, Audi’s promising “a level of space which exceeds existing class standards” and is more akin to full-size SUVs.

The dashboard is oriented to the driver and made up of two displays; a central MMI infotainment display and the Audi Virtual Cockpit ahead of the driver.

Vorsprung models go one further with a Virtual Cockpit Plus which brings more layouts to the displays – and Audi will also offer a larger 11.6-inch MMI touchscreen later this year.

It will become the largest display ever offered by a production Audi.

In October 2021, the more coupe-like q4 e-tron Sportback pictured above arrives in retailer showrooms. Prices here start from £42,250 and it is offered with the same array of trims and electric motor variants as the more practical Q4 e-tron.

Audi says its "especially low coupe-style roofline ends in an expressively-designed rear, where the spoiler sits deep on the two-part window".

This helps it achieve an even more slippery aerodynamic drag factor of 0.26, compared to the regular Q4 e-tron’s 0.28 figure.

Both are, however, impressive for an SUV, and will ensure the real-world EV driving range measures up to claimed figures.
