Vauxhall EVs star at Electric Vehicle Experience Centre

Vauxhall is supplying Corsa-e and Mokka-e to the Electric Vehicle Experience Centre in Milton Keynes to help promote the benefits of EVs

Vauxhall is supplying a range of new EVs to the Electric Vehicle Experience Centre in Milton Keynes to help promote the benefits of electric vehicles to the public.

A fleet of five Corsa-e and Mokka-e has been supplied to the EV Experience Centre, in which visitors can carry out test drives and experience their first taste of going electric.

Demand is expected to be high, too: the EV Experience Centre generally attracts 50,000 visitors a year – and carries out a remarkable 24,000 test drives per year.

The new fleet of Vauxhall EVs is therefore expected to be well used by the site’s many electric vehicle experts on hand to answer questions about EV, hybrids and plug-in hybrids.

Paul Willcox, Vauxhall MD, said: “The Electric Vehicle Experience Centre is a fantastic initiative to help educate British consumers about the benefits of switching to electric.

“Vauxhall has a range of affordable all-electric cars and vans and we are looking forward to be able to offer visitors to the centre test drives in both Corsa-e and Mokka-e.”

Natalie Reay, EV Experience centre manager, said: “With our centre now back open, we are looking forward to welcoming customers behind the wheel of our new electric vehicles.”

Both Vauxhalls have a 50kWh battery, and 136ps motor, with the Corsa-e offering a 209-mile range, and the Mokka-e providing a 201-mile range.

The Corsa-e, pictured above, is also the AUTOBEST Best Buy Car of the Year 2020.

Both support up to 100kW rapid charging, giving an 80% charge in 30 minutes, “making them idea for multiple test drives per day”.

For those unable to make it over to Milton Keynes, adds Vauxhall, the firm now allows customers to schedule one-on-one live tours of any cars they’re interested in.

Via the Vauxhall Virtual Showroom, customers connect with a product expert who walks them around the vehicle via a live feed and answers questions as they go.
