Priced from £54,990, UK deliveries of the all-electric Model Y midsize SUV will begin early next year.
Tesla has confirmed that the Model Y SUV will arrive in the UK early in 2022.
It marks the latest all-electric model to be offered by the American brand, with prices to begin from £54,990.
With potential seating for up to seven, the Model Y is aimed at growing families.
Related to the entry-level Tesla Model 3, the Model Y boasts a taller roof and a raised ride height.
An optional third row of seating can accommodate extra passengers, whilst the interior of the Model Y is designed to carry big loads.
Folding all the rear seats flat, and utilising the front storage ‘frunk’, the Model Y can accommodate 2,158-litres of luggage.
Tesla’s now trademark 15-inch central touchscreen remains, responsible for controlling almost every function in the Model Y.
Two versions of the Model Y will be offered in the UK, beginning with the Long Range AWD version. Priced from £54,990, when fully charged it has an official WLTP range of 315 miles.
A £64,990 Performance version, also with all-wheel drive, will be available later in 2022. Capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, it still offers a potential range of 298 miles.
Model Y owners will have access to Tesla’s network of 6,000 Superchargers, and also receive Over-The-Air system updates.
The Tesla online Design Studio is now live for the Model Y, allowing potential owners to specify their ideal car now.
