Skoda Enyaq iV EV open for ordering from £31,085

Skoda has opened ordering for its first purpose-built EV, the Enyaq iV – and there’s a novel new lease offering with the new SUV too

Ordering is now open for the Skoda Enyaq iv EV with prices for the new family-sized SUV starting from £31,085 after the Plug-in Car Grant is deducted.

Skoda will sell the Enyaq iV with either a 62kWh or 82kWh battery, and is offering five different ‘design selections’: Loft, Lodge, Lounge, Suite and ecoSuite.

All come with sat nav as standard, with the differences coming not just in equipment levels, but also in interior look and materials.

Skoda has created a new financial packages too, called Lease&Care, which it says “offers complete peace of mind”.

And as a launch offer, Skoda is throwing in up to 7,500 miles of free charging with the firm’s green energy partner Octopus Energy.

All Skoda Enyaq iV are well equipped as standard. The entry-level Enyaq iV 60 Nav, priced from £31,085, has 19-inch alloys, infotainment system with 13-inch screen, dual-zone climate control, ambient interior lighting and keyless go.

‘Loft’ is the standard interior ambience, with fabric and artificial leather seats, and brushed aluminium trim.

The Enyaq iV 80 is priced from £35,950. Extra equipment includes front parking sensors, rear-view camera, chrome detailing and a heated steering wheel. Again, buyers can upgrade from Loft to Lodge, Lounge, Suite or ecoSuite interiors

Lease&Care is a finance package specifically for EV buyers and is launched with the Enyaq iV.

The promise is simple: owners choose their preferred variant, an initial deposit (which can be as little as one monthly payment), their annual mileage and then whether they want a 24-month, 36-month or 48-month term.

The package is then tailored even further to include aftersales care packages – either Small, Medium or Large.

Small includes routine servicing and a 24-hour ‘Driverline’ concierge service including breakdown recovery.

Medium adds all routine maintenance items including brakes, suspension and cooling repairs, plus fluid top-ups.

Large include tyre replacement, puncture repair and wheel alignment.

In a novel extra feature, customers can add on Rent-a-Car Mobility credits for £16 a month. This gives them access to a non-EV for seven days per year.
