UK prices announced for new-look 2022 MG ZS EV

With sleeker styling and a longer range, the electric MG ZS EV will cost from £28,495.

MG has confirmed UK prices for the revised ZS EV SUV.

Set to reach dealerships this month, the popular electric car will cost less than £29,000 after the Plug-in Car Grant is applied.

The ZS EV is already one of the consistent top-selling EVs in the country. MG will hope this model continues the same success.

MG will offer the ZS EV in three trim levels for the UK, starting with the SE. Costing from £28,495, it comes with climate control air-con, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and a 360-degree parking camera.

Like all ZS EV models, the SE also has a 10.1-inch touchscreen media system, incorporating satellite navigation.

At £30,995, the mid-range ZS EV Trophy adds a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, roof rails and rain-sensing windscreen wipers. It is also the only version to benefit from wireless phone charging.

Topping the model range is the ZS EV Connect. Priced from £31,495, this adds live services including weather and traffic updates to the iSmart multimedia system.

Comprehensive safety equipment includes Active Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Intelligent High Beam Assist for all models.

Buyers can pick from five paint colours, including the new Battersea Blue finish seen here.

All models make use of a 72kWh ‘Long Range’ battery, offering the potential for 273 miles when fully charged. This is a substantial increase compared to the 163-mile range of the outgoing ZS EV.

Charging now takes place via a side-opening port in the front grille. This allows both Type 2 and CCS chargers to be used, and can fully recharged the battery in 42 minutes with a 100kW device.
