More than 1,000 pre-registrations for the new Kia EV6 have already been placed so the firm is to close the system after 30 April ahead of a two-week ordering period
The bold Kia EV6 has already proven a hit with British motorists – so much so, the firm is to close its pre-registration system at the end of the month after steep demand.
To date, more than 1,000 people have pre-reserved a Kia EV6 with a refundable £100 deposit, with more added by the day.
To manage demand for the hit new EV, Kia now says it will close pre-reservations on 30 April, ahead of opening a two-week exclusive two-week ordering window in May.
This will allow early adopters to firm up their order and secure one of the UK’s first EV6 when deliveries begin in October 2021.
After this exclusivity period, the EV6, which costs from £40,895, will go on general sale.
Pre-reservations for the high-performance EV6 GT range-topper will also close on 30 April.
This 576hp super-EV, which can do 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds, is set to arrive in October 2022 – and Kia says the ordering window will close at the end of April and not then open again until 2022.
Those who want one of the first high-performance Kia EVs as soon as it arrives had better act fast…
