The E-Up, ID.3 and ID.4 models are all offered through the flexible Onto monthly subscription package.
A trio of all-electric Volkswagen models are now available as part of the Onto subscription service.
It follows a major fleet deal between the two companies, with E-Up, ID.3, and ID.4 EVs set to join the Onto roster.
The news follows unprecedented demand in September, when the Volkswagen ID.3 Family Pro Performance became part of the Onto offering.
Onto lets drivers access electric vehicles without a long-term commitment. It offers an opportunity to test if an electric car could fit a subscriber’s lifestyle, or to test-drive the latest model.
No deposit is required, with subscription packages starting from £339 per month. Each subscriber gets 1,000 monthly miles, insurance, breakdown cover and charging at over 11,000 points included in their package.
A new TV advert will highlight the range of EV models now offered by Onto.
Volkswagen’s agreement sees the ID.4 electric SUV added to the Onto fleet in Life Pro Performance configuration. It provides a driving range of up to 322 miles, and comes with features such as LED headlights and adaptive cruise control.
The ID.3 hatchback will be available in Life and Family trim levels, with both using a 58 kWh battery pack. When fully charged, this means potential for 264 miles of range.
Completing the trio is the diminutive E-Up electric city car. First launched in 2014, battery revisions have stretched its range to 159 miles.
Nick O’Neill, head of fleet at Volkswagen UK, said the Onto agreement was about: “enabling even more people to see just how good our models are – whether that’s by their use on the Onto fleet by customers who may go on to purchase a Volkswagen electric vehicle of their own, or by giving the models more exposure on UK roads and on TV.”
