Costa Coffee signs a deal with charging provider Instavolt to install rapid EV chargers at hundreds of Drive-Thru sites
Costa Coffee is teaming up with charging provider Instavolt to install rapid EV chargers at hundreds of its Drive-Thru sites.
The Instavolt chargers will deliver charging speeds of up to 120kW – which Costa says will give 100 miles of range in just 15 minutes.
Both new and existing sites will be equipped with the rapid chargers, further expanding Costa’s existing regular chargers already in place at more than 175 of its sites.
The chargers will be open access and on a ‘pay as you go’ basis, so users won’t have to download an app.
“We are on a mission to offer Instavolt rapid chargers across easily accessible and popular locations throughout the country,” said CEO Adrian Keen.
“This partnership with Costa Coffee will further support the ever-increasing drive towards EV adoption across the UK.
“One of the biggest barriers to customers making the switch to green clean vehicles is often a perceived lack of public car charge points.
“We are proud to be partnering with such a well known and loved brand to build out the charging network and deliver industry-leading charging technology to brand new locations.”
