A fleet of 300 electric Citroen e-C4s in Prime Shine trim will join the vehicles offered by car subscription service, Onto.
Citroen has announced a deal with the Onto car subscription service. It will supply 300 examples of the e-C4 electric SUV.
Offered in range-topping Prime Shine specification, the e-C4s will be added to the Onto fleet in October.
It means Onto subscribers can make use of the electric Citroen and go EV for a month, with all costs included in a single payment.
Founded in 2017, Onto now has more than 3,000 users, and provides flexible subscription services for a range of electric vehicles. Onto customers get insurance, 1,000 miles of driving per month, servicing, maintenance and charging at over 11,000 charge points – all included in one payment.
Prime Shine trim for the e-C4 means an extensive standard spec for the 300 vehicles available. LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and heated leather seats are all part of the package.
The e-C4 also comes with Citroen’s latest semi-autonomous driving capability, known as Highway Driving Assist. Safety tech includes adaptive cruise control, active blind spot detection and road sign recognition.
A 136kWh battery pack provides the power for the e-C4’s 136hp electric motor. This offers an official range of up to 217 miles, with rapid charging options included. It means the e-C4 can take on an 80 percent charge from a 100kW charger in 30 minutes.
Rob Jolly, CEO and co-founder of Onto, said: “Citroen is a fantastic brand and we’re delighted to be able to offer their new e-C4 to our customers. Citroen’s strategy to provide an electric model of each car they manufacture is a great step for the EV industry.”
Eurig Druce, managing director of Citroen UK, commented: "We're thrilled that Onto is adding 300 new e-C4s to its fleet. Subscribers to the company's service will love the e-C4's striking design and cosseting ride, as well as the strong level of equipment on our bestselling Shine Plus trim level.
