The plug-in hybrid Citroen C5 Aircross is now available in range-topping Black Edition trim.
The Citroen C5 Aircross plug-in hybrid has gained a new top specification model.
Buyers opting for the C5 Aircross Black Edition gain a host of upgrades, designed to help the family SUV stand out from the crowd.
The new trim level follows strong customer demand for extra personalisation across Citroen’s hybrid range.
True to the Black Edition tradition, Citroen has fitted the C5 Aircross with a set of 19-inch black alloy wheels. These are complemented by the roof and wing mirrors finished in ‘Perla Nera Black’ paint.
A large panoramic sunroof casts light across the ‘Urban Black’ Alcantara-trimmed seats. Other standard equipment includes a motorised electric tailgate, LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera.
Multimedia is handled by an eight-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Citroen also bundles plenty of safety equipment into the Black Edition. Features include blind-spot monitoring, plus advanced Active Safety Brake with both video and radar assistance.
All C5 Aircross Black Edition models come with Citroen’s 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, combined with an 80kW electric motor. An eight-speed automatic gearbox is standard.
When fully charged, official figures for the C5 Aircross PHEV show the potential to cover up to 34 miles on electric power alone. An onboard 7.4kW charger allows the Black Edition to recharge in less than two hours from a home wallbox or public charging point.
The new Black Edition is priced from £36,850, with orders open now. First customer deliveries are expected at the end of October 2021.
