Car subscription company Onto has purchased 300 Audi e-tron EVs and is now offering them for periods starting from just one month long
Motorists can now subscribe to an Audi e-tron for as little as one month as 300 cars are added to all-inclusive subscription service Onto.
Customers don’t have to pay a deposit or commit to a long-term contract: it is fully-flexible after the initial one-month usage period.
The Audi e-tron 55 Black Edition is the variant added to the fleet: the standard fee is £1,299.
This includes insurance, servicing, breakdown cover and up to 1,000 miles’ usage. Notably, it also includes charging.
Customers also pay a £49.50 fee for delivery and collection of the vehicle.
Transactions are completed through the Onto app, which also replaces traditional car keys: owners lock and unlock through the app instead.
“Although it’s an increasingly unfounded viewpoint, electrification and additional complication still go hand-in-hand in the eyes of many drivers,” said Audi UK director Andrew Doyle.
“Our involvement with Onto will be valuable as a means of dismantling as many perceived obstacles to EV ownership and usage as possible.”
The deal – one of the largest corporate BEV purchases to date – “has real potential to be a key driver of attitudinal change and broader integration of more environmentally compatible mobility”.
